The University Of Management And Technology (UMT) Ranked First Among All Private Universities In Pakistan

The latest report of Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 has placed the University of Management and Technology (UMT) at the 1st position among all private sector universities in Pakistan.

Times higher education ranks UMT first among private-sector universities in PakistanAround 13 performance metrics are used by Times Higher Education(THE) in order to evaluate the performance of the institutionsAs per HEC criteria, UMT also made it to the list of top Online Class Readiness Universities.

UMT, ranked among the top 600 universities worldwide and belonging to the 501-600 band, was named the best private university in Pakistan. A nearly flawless score for research citations allowed UMT to accomplish its astounding feat.

Thirteen carefully calculated performance indicators are used to rank institutions across four categories:

  • Teaching
  • Research,
  • Knowledge Transfer
  • International Outlook.

Pakistan’s top private-sector university was UMT, which is ranked among the top 600 universities in the world in the 501-600 range. Furthermore, UMT ranked 2nd among Pakistan’s public and private universities.

In a statement, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, the president of UMT, congratulated the UMT family on their remarkable achievement and stressed that these results highlighted the varsity’s commitment to academic quality and research. Following the rankings, President UMT Ibrahim Hassan Murad tweeted the success of the university and said, “Allah has been most kind. We have attained the top position among all private sector universities in Pakistan in the 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. In the last 4 years, we have grown exponentially, especially in terms of research, eminence and our overall positioning. I want to give full credit to our students, alumni, faculty and staff. May they continue to outshine!”

Another great milestone in the progress of education in Pakistan. Among public sector universities only QAU (quaid-e-azam) was ahead of UMT. Improving education is key to our progress. Education being the primary factor in any country progress we are still in need of improving. thriving for education will pull our country out of the crisis we are in.
