The government of Pakistan is making all the efforts to shape the future of Pakistan as a welfare state. Moreover, the pandemic has added to the already alleviated level of poverty in the country. Because of this people have been suffering a lot. However, the government has introduced many initiatives to facilitate people wherever possible. For this Ehsaas rashan raiyat program has been introduced tau ab khanay par bhi riayat milay gi.
Ehsaas Program
Ehsaas Program is launched with the purpose to make Pakistan a ‘welfare state’ in the true sense. This is to be accomplished by reducing inequality, uplifting the backward areas, and investing in people. To achieve this many subprograms have been introduced under the Ehsaas program. This program also aims at promoting financial inclusion, access to digital services for all, promoting women empowerment, sustainable development, facilitating everyone with health services and education.
Many people around Pakistan have been availing the opportunities offered under the Ehsaas program. It has proven to be in the best interest of the people to date. At a time when the whole world is struggling because of the price hikes, Ehsaas program has emerged as the rescuer for the people of Pakistan. Some of the initiatives introduced under the Ehsaas program are mentioned below:
- Ehsaas Kafaalat: It works for the digital and financial inclusion of women.
- Ehsaas Amdan: It aims to provide jobs and livelihood to deserving people.
- Ehsaas Digital: The initiative provides program-specific information to the people.
- Ehsaas Tahafuz: It works to assist those who suffered from a catastrophic event.
- Women Empowerment Centers: the initiative works to empower women by teaching them skills that would help them.
There are many more initiatives that are introduced to address different problems of different sections of society. Recently another program has been introduced to facilitate people in yet another area i.e., the basic commodities.
Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program
Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced the launch of Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program which is an attempt to counter inflation in the country. The PM said, “Eligible families will get a subsidy of Rs 1,000 per month on the purchase of flour, pulses, ghee/cooking oil.” This program is termed ‘revolutionary’ in the history of Pakistan. According to the Special Assistant to Pakistan, Sania Nishtar, the first phase of the program has been completed, and approximately 9.2 million deserving families have been sent a message regarding the availability of the program.
Moreover, Anjum-e-Tajaran, Bank of Khyber, and Bank of Punjab are also expected to facilitate the Ehsaas Rashan Program which will, in turn, result in the inclusion of more people in the program.
The Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program is surely going to help many families. Moreover, with Ramadan ahead and the expected price hikes on the commodities, this program will provide relief to people.
