Gold worth over Rs10m stolen from Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine

In a shocking event that happened on Friday, Zubair Baloch, the manager of the Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine, is accused of planning a bold theft and running off with gold worth more than Rs10 million.

Omar Soomro, who is the caretaker minister for law, religious affairs, and human rights in Sindh, fired the boss and told the police to file a theft case against him.

 

The Auqaf department said that over the past month, a huge amount of gold worth Rs12,372,863 was stolen from the holy Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine.

As a shocking turn of events, Baloch admitted to the theft while being questioned by an inquiry group, according to a voice for the department.

The boss was told by Soomro to stop getting his salary, and the case was also sent to the Anti-Corruption Department.
