Usman Mukhtar’s ‘Gulabo Rani’ wins at LA Sci-fi and Horror Festival

Gulabo Rani, Usman Mukhtar’s most recent horror-themed film, has received the Best Short Film Prize at the LA Sci-Fi & Horror Festival 2022! The actor told his fans about the news on social media.

“Alhamdulillah! I’m super happy to announce that Gulabo Rani has won Best Short Film at the L.A. Sci-Fi & Horror Festival. I’m so proud of the entire team!” wrote Mukhtar excitedly.

After the post circulated online, many celebrities rushed to the comment section to applaud the star on his new triumph. “Wow! MashAllah, many congratulations to you, Usman.” remarked Sarah Khan, while fellow director Ali Kazmi also gave his heartiest blessing to Mukhtar. He said, “All my best wishes.”

Veteran actor Manzar Sehbai was also included among the Parchi actor’s well-wishers. “Congratulations, Usman!” he said.

The short horror movie Gulabo Rani revolves on a haunted hostel. Even though much of the plot’s specifics are still unknown, the trailer depicts a dark, menacing ghost torturing the kids living in a dilapidated boarding house. Any fan of the genre should be thrilled by the movie’s tagline, “The main work of haunting is done by the living.”

Usama Javaid Haider, Meiraj Haq, Daniyal Khaqan Afzal, Omer Abdullah Khan, and Natasha Humera Ejaz all play significant roles in Gulabo Rani.
