Pakistan Super League Season 7 has finally come to an end and we are very sad. There were a lot of good things that came out of this season of PSL but most of all we will all miss having to put everything aside just to watch the matches. And now we won’t be able to. But lets not forget the fact that it was indeed Lahore that was victorious in the end. And all because they deserved it. With the amazing captaincy of the young Shaheen Shah Afridi, and the superb efforts by the team.
But at the same time, Lahore was an absolute treat to watch in the way that they said to goodbye to Rashid Khan. Us mauqa per tou sakht sey sakht dil bhi pigal gaya tha.
Pakistan super league has given us moments to laugh and to cry. It has been a month of sheer amusement, and sportsmanship like never seen before. The way that our teams and the players have had a very cool and carefree attitude has shown us what it means to be a cricketer.
And then there was the Faulkner incident. We don’t want to get into all what happened, but there are times when we sit down and reflect on what was going in his head when he threw this bat and helmet at the chandelier, and broke it. Kya bhai sahab roz bhet kar us chandelier kou dekhtay thay aur sochtay thay kay bus kisi taran is kou torna hai. Kya pasand nahen aya us chandilier mein unkou? Bohat curosity hai humain us cheez ki.
The moments between Dahani and Aleem Darr have been a treat to watch because when else have you seen an Umpire joking with a bowler? And then again, the next match, having that same bowler mess with the Umpire.
And the moments between the teams themselves, Rizwan being his absolute best and just having fun while giving his best or Shadab or Shaheen and everyone just having fun, giving us entertaining times and playing the best possible cricket.
It is super sad that this season has come to an end, and we can’t help but wait for the next season. Because cricket is love, and it runs in our blood – may it continue to prevail.
