The Supreme Court had overruled Qasim Suri’s verdict and dissolving of assembles. No-confidence vote was to be taken in the national assembly to decide the fate of Prime Minister Imran Khan. All the eyes were on the screen to see the historic decision. The motion was successful and the Prime Minister’s tenure came to a sudden end. They held peaceful protests across the country to show solidarity with Imran Khan.
Usually, the Supreme Court takes a long time to consider or even discuss matters of national address. But this time the courts presided on Sunday, something usual in the country’s long history. The verdict of the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly was overruled, and they decided that the no-confidence will take place.
An hour after midnight on Sunday, the session no-confidence vote moved by the opposition was held, which was chaired by Ayaz Sadiq as Asad Qaiser had resigned. 174 members out of 342 members voted in favor of the resolution.
Ali Muhammad: The Lone Warrior
Ali Muhammad was the lone warrior who stayed there in the national assembly when everyone left to serve their old lords. He has been honored and felicitated for standing firm in his leadership as the man of the hour, and Mard-e-Ahan of PTI. Such personalities go down in the histories of nations and show what strong character and resilience are.

Nomination Papers of Prime Minister
The nomination papers for the Prime Minister were submitted by Shehbaz Sharif (opposition) and Shah Mehmood Qureshi (PTI) on Sunday afternoon. The premier would be elected today in the afternoon.
Imran Khan is the first prime minister in Pakistan’s history to be removed from office through a no-confidence vote. Earlier, Shaukat Aziz in 2006, and Benazir Bhutto in 1989, had to go through the no-confidence vote, but they had survived the vote.
Imran Khan asked the people of Pakistan to protest peacefully to stop foreign interference in regime change. He said, “this marked the beginning of a freedom struggle against what he called a foreign conspiracy of regime change.” He also stated, “It is always the people who protected their sovereignty and democracy. Pakistan became an independent state in 1947, but the freedom struggle begins again today against a foreign conspiracy of regime change. It is always the people of the country who defend their sovereignty and democracy.”
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on the call of their leader Imran Khan, took out rallies across the country to protest against the removal of former prime minister and party chairman Imran Khan. Nationwide, large protests were held, answering the call of Imran Khan after 9’o’clock at night.
Large protests at Karachi, Peshawar, Malakand, Multan, Khanewal, Khyber, Jhang, Quetta, Okara, Islamabad, Lahore, and Abbottabad were held. Small cities were also not behind in protests like Bajaur, Lower Dir, Shangla, Kohistan, Mansehra, Swat, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Nowshera, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Mandi Bahauddin.

Foreign Media covers
Foreign Media outlets covered the peaceful protests, whereas our media had blacked it out, showing the remains of the suppression of free speech. But that did not affect the supporters at all, as social media is more powerful on which the mainstream is dependent now.
