Coke studio has completed 14 years, and we are very excited to see what they have in store for us now. Xulfi has taken over this year, and we all know how amazing this season can be. The first six seasons were produced by Rohail Hyatt, then Strings took charge from Season 7-10. Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi produced season 11. Rohail Hyatt came back for seasons 12 and 13(2020), whereas now we have Xulfi heading the project.

Xulfi made a name for himself through his excellent production In Nescafé Basement. He featured underground artists of Pakistan. We heard some fantastic artists, and now, with that benchmark, we have every expectation that this year is going to be phenomenal.

What to expect this year!

While all of these people are great in their own capacities and create art that reaches the depths of our hearts. However, one person that we are super excited about is Faisal Kapadia.

The break-up of the strings band left us all with a broken heart as well. The news of Mr. Kapadia performing once more is like the ray of sunshine at the end of a tunnel. QB and Atif Aslam are once again two singers who the nation loves and want to hear more of.

Other people, we’re really excited about our Farsi Shafi and Meesha Shafi – duo. Rumors are that the siblings will sing a song together, to which Meesha replied on her Twitter, ‘You guys are not ready for this.’

Talha Anjum from the Young Stunners is loved by the younger generations. Their groove and lyrics hit home – as said by so many people out there. All the while, Naseebo Lal, and Abida Parveen have our hearts. They have set a tone for their genre, and sway us with the rhythmic beats and deep lyrics. We know that after hearing their songs, we will fall in love with them all over again.

Hassan Raheem and Soch – the band performs in a delirious tone, which takes you to a different zone altogether. We are very excited to see the kind of music that they bring us this year!

And let us not forget our forever favourite, the superstar of Pakistan Atif Aslam, and Ali Sethi. Both of these have a different way of performing. But whatever way they perform, we can’t help but listen to them on loop.

In the line-up we can also see some new talent, which we are all very excited about; Wahab Bugti, Shaegil, Lahore Jazz Ensemble, Eva B, Abdullah Siddiqui, Justin Bibis, and Kaifi Khalil. All of these are promising names, and we cannot wait to listen to them this season!

Let us know in the comment section who are you most excited about!
