On Sunday, 2nd January 2022, Yasmeen Rashid held a press conference, in which she informed the public of the updates in the health sector. She announced that 25,000 jobs will now be available in the health department. Furthermore, she gave details on Sehat Card and added that now more doctors will be hired by the private hospitals after 101 health facilities have registered themselves with the health department.
She also told the press that people who did not have their ID cards would not be able to avail a Sehat card, while for children, it is also essential that their B-form be present at the time. Yasmeen Rashid said that the Sehat card would be given to the head of the family.
After Corona Virus, many people all over Pakistan had to undergo financial crises resulting in them losing their jobs. However, with the implementation of this program, so many homes in Pakistan will now be able to sleep soundly knowing that they have jobs to go to in the morning.
There are a lot of benefits of this, one of them being that now young students who are passionate about medicine and want to do great in the field will be able to find jobs with ease. This will only encourage the youth of Pakistan to follow their passion in the field of medicine.
In the same press conference, Yasmeen Rashid also said that a Naya Pakistan Health Card app has been launched, which will make the process of obtaining and using the card very quick. Details about the Sehat card can be found on the app or on their website. She also added that a help desk for the government health insurance program has been set in every tehsil, in the deputy commissioner’s offices.
