International Day For Eradication Of Poverty
On this day in 1987, a hundred thousand people gathered in TrocadΓ©ro in Paris to honor the victims of extreme poverty. They proclaimed that poverty and hunger is human rights violation and affirmed that everybody needs to come together to fight this issue. A resolution was passed by UN General Assembly on 22 December 1992, 17th October became as the International day for eradication of poverty.
