Pakistan Super League, better yet known as the PSL, started seven years ago and is still the hype. What began as a way to bring cricket home is now so much more. People every year are super excited about the PSL – and it is a source of great excitement for everyone. The Pakistani twitter takes a boost and doesn’t get us started on the music that we get to groove on.
This year the line-up for the PSL season 7 anthem has just been released this week – and we are super excited about seeing Atif Aslam and Aima Baig sing the song! This year the producer for this song is Abdullah Siddiqui, and rumors are that Shoaib Malik will also be partaking in the video.
”We have tried to produce a song that captures the spirit of the game in a meaningful way while still being very fun and catchy,” says Siddiqui. The song is expected to release on 20th January.
PSL is much more than cricket. It gave people a chance to see cricket in their homes and gave them something to look forward to. The added excitement was when people saw their the teams named in the PSL were after cities – which added a lot to the city war.
Over the last seven years, during the PSL – the teams also release their anthems and have the players model in the videos. Over the years, the PSL anthem has been sung by the following:

Last year, the song was sung by Young Stunners, Naseebo Lal, and Aima Baig. But the general public did not like the song as they should have. It was supposed to be the ‘groove Mera,’ and most people did not while I did. We get it; it depends from person to person.
However, this year we have confidence that it will be a super hit and mainly so because we have two of our superstars – Atif Aslam and Aima Baig.
