Cricket fever is in the air again with Pakistan registering its name in records and our stars performing at their finest. This year has seen a special boost in players’ performances. Their spirits are high and we hope that they will try to perform even better in 2022.

U19 Team against Arch Rivals India

Update: Pakistan U19 team has defeated India U19 in the ongoing U19 Asia Cup in the UAE by 2 wickets in a last-ball thriller!
The U19 team is up against India in the U19 Asia Cup on 25th Dec 2021. The two arch-rivals will be facing each other on Saturday. India has beaten UAE and Pakistan has beaten Afghanistan in the opening games of group A of the Asia Cup. We wish our young guns the very best!

PSL rights awarded to PTV and A Sports

PSL has awarded broadcast rights to PTV and A sports this year. The deal is worth US$ 24 million, which is 50% more than the last year. According to PCB’s acting Chairman, ‘’The extraordinary interest in the TV broadcast rights of the PSL underscores how popular the tournament has become.” Cricket back on Pakistan’s soil has been a dream come true for the cricket fans and with ICC awarding 100% crowd, this will be the best season yet.

Shadab Khan signed by Sydney Sixers

Shadab khan has been signed by Sydney Sixers in BBL, he announced with a tweet. They have defended the title twice, and are up to complete their hat-trick. Shadab’s addition to the squad will boost their spin department. He is known for turning the ball which will add to the dynamics of the versatile team.  He has been part of the Brisbane Heat in the 2017-18 season.

Shaheen Shah Afridi announced as Lahore Qalandars Captain

Our young Shaheen has been named the captain for Lahore Qalandars for the following season of PSL. The news was announced over Twitter with speculations coming in from all sides of the field. Shahid Afridi, the legend himself, congratulated his soon-to-be son-in-law, although with a bit of comedy.

Shoaib Malik: The Star Performer

As the national cricket team continues to make records, the players are having a time of their careers. Other than Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan, Shoaib Malik has been consistent in his performances throughout his career. He has so far won 17 titles globally and being part of the winning team is always a great boost for a player’s spirit. He was part of the Pakistan National Team that won the 2009 T20i World cup. His team Jaffna Kings, captained by him has won 3 titles in Lanka Premier League. He has also been part of the winning team of Rajshahi Royals for Bangladesh Premier League, who had 3 consecutive wins to their name. He also captained Sialkot Stallions 7 times to victory, which is a record in itself. He has also been part of the Peshawar Zalmi PSL winning team. He has been part of the winning team of Vitality Blast in English County Cricket and also in the Caribbean Premier League. You can just imagine the trophy cabinet at his place! A wonderful feat to achieve, indeed. We at Neemopani congratulate him for his excellent performance. We are proud of him. He is an inspiration to the young players, especially to his nephew M. Hurraira who recently became the 2nd youngest cricketer in Pakistan to score a Triple Century.
