The Final

Billions of viewers watched the UCL final on Saturday night. It was a repeat of the 2018 UCL final when these two teams met in the final four years ago. It was a chance for Mohammad Salah and his team to take revenge on the Spanish side. The final was very intense and interesting. For most of the time, Liverpool dominated the game, but the man between the sticks for Real Madrid, Thibaut Courtois, stood up like a wall and didn’t allow the ball to go past him. The Belgian goalkeeper was later awarded as player of the final for his brilliant performance.

Overall, the match was high on pace, open, and attacking. Liverpool had their opportunities, but Real Madrid’s back four and goalkeeper dealt with Liverpool’s attacks to keep a clean sheet. In the 59th minute, finally, the deadlock broke when the young Brazilian talent Vini Jr. guided the Pakistan-manufactured football into the net from a lovely cross by Federico Valverde. This was the only goal in the whole match. Before that in the last minutes of the first half, the Real Madrid captain Karim Benzema netted the ball into the goal which was ruled out for offside by VAR. though the only goal in the 59th minute proved enough for the Spanish giants to lift the trophy for the record 14th time.

Pakistan and Football

Pakistan is one of the lowest-ranked teams in FIFA rankings. Still, Pakistan as a country has a deep and strong relationship with the most famous sport. Pakistan manufactures the best footballs in the world. It’s interesting Pakistan has never been famous as a football-playing nation. But football itself as a sport is incomplete without the contribution of Pakistan. Pakistan not only helps the best footballers kick a high-quality football but also through this Pakistan’s image gets better globally.
