Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi’s daughter Laraib Atta has been nominated for the Oscar’s and BAFTA awards for her VFX contribution in the James Bond latest movie No Time To Die. This indeed is a proud moment for Pakistan, and we can’t help but be super proud of Laraib, and the work that she has been doing.
Laraib announced it on her Facebook page, “We have been nominated for #bafta and #oscar for No Time to Die – and here are the VFX breakdowns. Well done everyone at #dneg it was an honor being part of my favorite 007 franchise.’’
“I would like to say thank you for all the kind messages and support I’ve been receiving for Oscar, BAFTA nomination for visual effects on No Time to Die,” she said.
“It is such a great honor working beside the great minds. All thanks to my brother Sanwal and my mother for always being the guiding force and supporting me throughout,” Laraib added.
This amazing and super talented woman has already been part of some great projects including Godzilla, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Mission: Impossible – Fallout.
The latest Bond movie, No Time To Die has bagged a total of three nominations in the 94th Academy Awards for ‘Best Original Song,’ ‘Best Song,’ and ‘Best Visual Effects.’ The film was also nominated for the ‘Best Visual Effects’ in the BAFTA 2022 awards.
Laraib Atta is the daughter of a Pakistani Superstar who has also made Pakistan proud on many fronts. As the saying goes, Like Father Like Daughter, Laraib has also dedicated her life to bringing out the talent hidden in Pakistan in front of the entire world.
Laraib managed to make her way to the Hollywood movies in 2006, and while she hails from the town of Mianwali, Punjab – she has not let it become a hurdle. With the support of her mother, and her father she has managed to make Pakistan proud.

It is because of their dedication and hard work that Pakistan is being recognized by the world, and the latter is beginning to see the amazing and creative talent that we have.
The Oscars and the BAFTA awards are considered to be some of the most prestigious awards in Hollywood, and to be nominated for any of them is nothing short of an accomplishment. It is for this reason that we are super proud of Laraib, and we hope that she can win both these awards and make us proud!
