Pakistanis don’t shy away from making their mark in the world. They don’t let any opportunity go to show to the world the super-talented people that they are. And then there is something about classics – about the way that it reaches and touches us. And with all of that – when we hear of the news that a Pakistani man will be starring the classical work such as The Kite Runner – one can’t help but feel super happy. Yes, you heard it right – Pakistani American actor Faran Tahir will be playing a role in The Kite Runner Broadway adaptation.
Most of us have grown up watching the film or reading the book – The Kite Runner. It has been a source of inspiration and has been able to incite emotions in us that we did not think were possible. To see the kind of friendship shown in the book, and then to see the tragic lives of the people of Afghanistan – the book did something to us. It touched us in parts, that perhaps had been dormant for a very long time. And with all of that to see Pakistani actors playing a role in the adaptation of the book makes us all super proud and happy.
Faran Tahir is an extremely talented American actor who over the years has ruled the hearts of all film lovers. He has played some amazing roles and won over many hearts in both Pakistan and America. And not only this, but he has also worked greatly in web series and tv shows and has successfully made his mark in the film industry.
While he was born in the US, his parents were Pakistani actors and tv hosts. Coming from an artistic family like this – he was bound to make his mark and he has done so exceptionally. And now the simple fact that he will be playing a major role in the Kite Runner adaptation will make it known to the world of the amazing person and the talent that he has.
Kite Runner is deeply rooted in our hearts, and we are super happy with the fact that he will be playing this role and making us all proud of him. The struggles of Afghanistan and the way that it can be felt and shown in the films or any other adaptions is an honor indeed, because as sad as it is, people now a day do not like to read as much as they should. Hence, the part that he will be playing is really important.
