Khalid Malik’s New Gameshow Taxi Cash

“The basic concept is that passengers book a ride, I pick them up and from point A to point B [and] it’s me asking them a series of questions,” said Khalid about his new gameshow. “It is mainly general knowledge questions — there are some rounds and the questions get harder with each round. That’s the premise of the show.”

Gameshows have also been everyone’s favourite. We all have grown up watching several shows such as Inam Ghar, Kaun Banega Crorepati, Jeeto Pakistan, to anme a few. But actor and RJ Khalid Malik has decide to take the trend of gameshows to a new level.

Khalid Malik has abandoned the conventions of hosting on set and decided to let the set be wherever he is, or wherever his car is. Taxi Cash is a mashup of two exciting shows, James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke and Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati.

The teaser shows how the difficulty level for rounds gets amped up, such as there is a round with timed questions, adding pressure on the contestants.

Every Monday and Tuesday at 9 p.m., the programme airs on BOL Network. There are currently three episodes available, and it debuted on October 3. Welcome to “Taxi Cash,” exclaims Malik as he asks inquiries about the chemical make-up of carbon dioxide, the person who invented computers, the country with the greatest export of tea, and the gas used to make soft drinks. All of them gave the visitors a chance to win thousands of rupees.

Although there are several gameshows being aired on almost every TV channel, hosting a gameshow in a car is a first in Pakistan.
