KFC has been known to win the hearts of the people not just by the delicious taste that they have but also by the good work that they have been doing all over the world. To see organizations as big as KFC trying to uphold their social obligations, and live by a code of morals to good and promote good in society is an example that all must follow. KFC in their CSR campaign announced that they will be offering scholarships to students in Pakistan for every six hits in the Aus vs Pak series.
KFC is one of the biggest food chains being the run in the world right now. They are loved by all and the simple fact that they are taking the education of students this seriously – and are willing to provide scholarships to students is something to be proud of. And there is us hoping that other companies – big companies all over the world follow this example and provide such opportunities to students all over the world.
Education is a basic human right and every child out there – be it in Pakistan or any other part of the world should be able to have a basic education. But unfortunately, most children out there cannot afford an education. They are robbed of their basic right, and it is for this reason and others that KFC took the initiative.
CSR is the Corporate Social Campaign, which aims to provide for the people of the country through a general portion of revenues generated by a company. In other words, it is also called ‘cause marketing,’ – for the benefit of society, and the general public.
KFC announced their scholarship program in the AUS vs Pak 1st ODI match, which took place in Lahore. They said that they will be providing scholarships to students for every six hits in the match. We are sure that they will follow the same example in the 2nd and 3rd ODI as well.
It is the social responsibility of corporate companies to look for the people and do all that they can to give back to society in ways that they can. We are also very thankful to KFC for being a part of this – and taking the CSR campaign in a way that benefits the students and the younger generation of Pakistan. And in that spirit, thank you for also giving us delicious food.
