Pakistan is already reaping the benefits from this project. One of the advantages of this is Gwadar’s Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute which is holding short training courses.

As the completion of CPEC is nearing so, it has become the need of the hour to train the local masses of Gwadar. As the Gwadar port plays a significant role in the CPEC, that’s why it has become imperative for the people of Balochistan to have basic vocational education.

The Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute Gwadar was completed in September 2021. The institute constitutes the main building, an administration block, cafeteria, lodging facility for teachers, an examination building, hostels, four workshops, and parking areas.

This is known to be the first-ever modern vocational and training entity that has the capacity to train 256 trainees. It will also bring job opportunities for the local people. Moreover, approximately 1000 people will be given the chance to train here.

According to a source “The project will enhance skills of the local population of Gwadar to participate in the growth of the port city and bring investment, business, and tourism in the area.” Moreover, the courses offered here would be free of cost for the students of Gwadar. Afterward, the students will be able to learn about the industrial sector and the latest technologies in China. For further exposure, they’ll be sent to China.
