Jemima Goldsmith, the ex-wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, is particularly upset with Elon Musk for removing blue-tick verification, especially when trolls created bogus profiles for her children, Kasim and Sulaiman Isa Khan. Imran shares the children with the British producer.

The bogus accounts appeared during political turmoil in the country, and the director of What’s Love Got To Do With It? blames Musk for them. The accounts featured photos of the children with their father, Imran, as well as modified fan shots of the former prime minister in the backdrop.

On Thursday, Jemima took to Twitter and retweeted a post asking whether the two profiles claiming to be her children were real or not. “Thanks, Elon Musk. Fake accounts pretending to be my children were created by imposters with a political agenda in Pakistan. This is exactly what I feared would happen when you took away Twitter’s verification blue ticks,” she wrote.

She added that her children do not use social media. For your knowledge, my children are not currently using social media and have no intention of doing so, she added.

The former family of the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) has previously been the victim of political assassination attempts. In March of this year, Jemima stated that unidentified individuals had made an attempt to break into her London flat in the dead of night. The journalist and filmmaker also posted images of the individuals on her Twitter account, requesting help from the public in identifying the intruders. She wrote, “If you can identify them, please let me know.”
