Many companies in Pakistan are collaborating with international companies to bring diversification in the industry and to boost the country’s economy. Such collaborations further bring investments, employment, growth, and exploring opportunities to the country. Recently, Lucky Motors and PEUGEOT have collaborated to produce European model cars in Pakistan.
Lucky Moto Company and Peugeot Partnership
A European automobile company PEUGEOT is all ready to set up its first manufacturing and assembling facility in Pakistan by partnering up with Luck Motors company. PEUGEOT has been operating in Europe for the past two centuries, 211 years to be exact.
Yunus Brothers Group subsidiary, Lucky Motor has been operating for the last 50 years. Lucky Motor due to its best services and market share in Pakistan has also signed eight agreements with Korean automobile suppliers for transferring technology to Pakistan.
Upon the launch of the first locally assembled PEUGEOT model CEO of Luck Motor, Asif Rizvi said “Lucky Motors is set to change the automotive landscape of Pakistan by introducing Peugeot, the first locally made European brand in the country. We are very excited to partner with Peugeot and look forward to being associated with Stellantis, a company that strongly believes in futuristic mobility solutions.”
He further said “Pakistan, with its 220 million population, offers a great opportunity for someone to come in and disrupt the automotive market. And we have no doubt that the Stellantis with its 14-brand portfolio, will be the one to do so. Lucky Motors is proud to become the first company in Pakistan to have multi-brand manufacturing and dealers. We are delighted to embark on this adventure, bringing with it the best automotive solutions, while also making meaningful contributions and investments that will support economic and social development in Pakistan.”
PEUGEOT CEO, Linda Jackson, remarked on this occasion, “We are delighted with this partnership and what it means for the Pakistani market. This will be the first time a European car is assembled in Pakistan and we are excited to work with Lucky Motors to support employment, localization, and the local automotive industry in the country. Internationalization is a key focus for PEUGEOT, with the B and C segment SUV growth representing a great opportunity for us. This is also bolstered by the evolution of the legislation of the country towards electrification which is in line with our own strategy.”
The aim of Luck Motor Company is to introduce top European automobile companies to Pakistan. The PEUGEOT marks the start of their mission. Currently, LMC is working to bring Allure and French Peugeot 1.2L Turbo 2008 Active. The launch was marked with the opening of a state-of-the-art car assembling facility in Pakistan along with eight 3S dealerships in six cities.
This partnership is surely going to bring new technological advancements to Pakistan. Moreover, World’s top brands collaborating with Pakistani companies will set the country on the path of economic stability.
