Ek Dum se Waqt badal diye

Pakistan and India came face to face on the 24th Oct in Dubai Stadium for the T20i WorldCup. The match began with a toss which was won by Pakistan and the rest is history. And Now “Ek Dum se Waqt badal diye, Jazbaat badal diye!”

The Pakistani Cricket Team had not won a single match against India in World Cup in 29 years; but, you know what they say: never say never! The green shirts made the entire nation proud and for once everyone forgot about the price of petrol set at 138 Rs.

So the game started with Pakistan deciding to bowl “which was a good decision,”  and we all got glued to the screen in anticipation of how our bowling and fielding strategies will play out. And then, the unexpected happened.

Right before our eyes, Shaheen Afridi took India’s first wicket in the first over. India’s second wicket falls in the second over and it all just began….

The Green shirts were able to take 7 wickets against 151 runs. The scorecard for the first innings was 151/7 and India gave us the target of 152. Aur phir hua kuch hun…..

With partnership between Rizwan and Babar playing the entire innings themselves, Pakistan bagged victory against India by 10 wickets. We just could not handle the excitement. All around Pakistan, chants of patriotism and heroism echoed and gatherings for match screenings were lit with bhangra and chants for the men in green. The boys in green made their nation extremely proud by winning a match against India in the World Cup for the first time in 29 years! It was definitely worth the wait.

The boys made our nation immensely proud and our twitter fam just could not contain their happiness.

Undoubtedly. All hail to the captain himself.

And well, what’s a little excitement without a little a little nudging…

Because what’s an Afridi without the wickets in hand.!!

Nonetheless, Thank you Pakistan’s Cricket team for bestowing this happy victory upon us and as a nation we owe you guys immense respect. This win against our arch enemy was all we needed Humara worldcup tou hogaya. As for our friends in the neighbours Tujhko mirchi lagi tou main kia krun…!
