Proton cars in Pakistan

Technology and now electric cars in Pakistan!!! Wow, this is amazing. The automotive industry is going to see a great breakthrough. Electric cars are being already assembled in Pakistan in the last two to three years. Now, the Malaysian SUV Proton would be available in Pakistan, locally assembled by Al-Haj. It will help the EV market to be more diversified and according to the consumer’s requirements. This will help the local car dealers to take the lead in collaboration with the international car manufacturers.

Proton launched in Malaysia

Proton has been launched in Malaysia. Although it is the top car manufacturer in Malaysia sales-wise, it needs time to make its mark in the international markets. According to the Malaysian carmaker, ‘Proton has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with electric vehicle brand, smart Automobile Company for the brand’s renewed presence in the ASEAN automotive market.’

Proton X70 in Pakistan

It got introduced in 2021 in Pakistan with the launch of the X70 SUV. Almost 1000 vehicles were sold, yet there were delayed deliveries and canceled bookings due to the pandemic.

Al-Haj Automotive Pvt. Ltd

It is the leading automotive supplier of Chinese automotive company FAW.  They are the only assemblers and providers of Proton in Pakistan and also introduce new generation products in Pakistan. They have partnered with Euro Oil to ‘launch premium ‘Proton Genuine Oil’ exclusively for PROTON vehicles’. It is produced by Petronas which is marketed by Euro Oil, the exclusive Petronas provider in Pakistan.

X70 manufacturing facility

The X70 manufacturing facility which is a high-tech plant has been established by Al-Haj Automotive Pvt. Ltd with the help of technical experts from Proton Malaysia. It has the latest technology and equipment that ensures the production of Proton X70 is according to Proton’s Global Quality Standards. It is made to assemble vehicles like Proton. 7-axis Robotic paint shop has been introduced in the plant to make the process more swift and efficient. It also can install and standardize ‘ADAS Systems in Proton X70’. The 3S Dealerships across Pakistan are authorized to avail of this facility.

This facility is not only available at the plant, but also at all authorized 3S Dealerships across Pakistan. The quality and features of the locally assembled Proton will be the same as the imported ones. The delivery of Proton X70 will start from March 2022.
