The people of Pakistan are talented, creative and above all – can come up with ideas that no one thought would be possible. It could be the reason why Pakistani’s have been able to come up with such great startups that Dubai is now eyeing them.

A few years ago, all such Pakistani used to get their education from their country but then would leave. However, things are changing – slowly but surely. There is a sense of patriotism, which is now being awakened in the people of this country. The people of Pakistan are not only contributing to the economy but are coming up with ideas and crafting things in all wakes of life, which will only help Pakistan develop.

The business ties between Pakistan and Dubai are without doubt very strong and have been for a few years now. UAE is the biggest financial investor in Pakistan and the total accounts of non-oil trade between the two countries have almost around $4 billion.

Furthermore, the Pakistani Business sector in Dubai has always been very well represented be it real estate, education, media, technology, or automobiles. Interestingly, over 15,000 Pakistani companies are registered with the Dubai Chambers of Commerce.

Dubai wants to expand itself as a global innovation hub, and for this purpose or for this to be a success – they need the minds of Pakistani’s. The wooing of startups in Pakistan from Dubai has already started. Buamim, the project head has said that he sees this as an opportunity to provide people with an ideal platform to access valuable insights, resources, and support.

Dubai has a “proactive and visionary government that vies to put in place the appropriate frameworks and conditions that companies look for in a home base, as well as favourable tax laws which mean businesses get to channel more profits into growth,” Ibrahim, another official of this program stated in an interview.
