What a Friday has it been! Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team is at its best in the field against the arch-rivals India. They defeated India in the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 by 13 runs. They have been waiting to make a breakthrough after 10 long years. We are proud of them and an answer to those who thought that ‘Women belong in the kitchen’. Kudos to you.
Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first posting a target of 137/6. Nida Dar made 56 runs along with Bismah Maroof who made 32. Deepti Sharma took 3 wickets along with Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka Singh who took two and one wickets respectively.
The Indian batters were allowed to stay on the crease for a long time. The highest runs were scored by Richa Ghosh (26) and Dayalan Hemalatha (20). Nashra Sandhu took 3 wickets. Nida Dar and Sadia Iqbal took 2 wickets each.
Nida Dar was the player of the match for scoring 56 and taking two wickets. Pakistan will face UAE on Sunday now.
