The best part of it is that you can never get enough of it. The beauty makes you want to visit the place again and again. This is the very reason why Pakistan receives millions of tourists every year. This is evident from the recent development according to which Pakistan has ranked 83rd on the travel and tourism development index.

Travel and Tourism Development Index
The travel and tourism development index is an evolution of the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index. The index defines “the set of factors and policies that enable the sustainable and resilient development of the Travel and Tourism (T&T) sector, which in turn contributes to the development of a country.” The travel and tourism development index edition of 2021 has highlighted the importance of investing in tourism and travel. The opportunities and challenges that this sector faces. The pandemic hit the tourist and travel sector badly. Due to the travel and tourism restrictions, the growth of this sector was curtailed significantly. Nevertheless, despite all this Pakistan managed to revive the tourism environment in the country in the post-covid scene.
Pakistan’s Ranking in the Travel and Tourism Development Index
A piece of good news for all the Pakistanis. Pakistan has secured 83rd position in the travel and tourism development index. Previously, it stood at the 89th position. A total of 117 countries are a part of the 2021 edition of the index. The ranking is based on the policies and factors that the country put in place to facilitate the development of the travel and tourism sector. Seems like Pakistan has invested a lot of effort and money in enforcing policies that could result in the growth of tourism in the country.
We just can’t ignore the fact that much of tourists are attracted to Pakistan because of the hospitality offered here. Pakistanis are highly considerate of the tourists and make sure they have the best time of life in the country. Furthermore, the safe and protected environment that the tourists enjoy plays a big hand in making Pakistan the world’s top tourist attraction. Along with Pakistan, Vietnam, and Indonesia also did well on the index. The countries that topped the index ranking are Japan, the US, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, the UK, Singapore, Italy, etc.
