As part of its holiday-themed creations, the well-known fizzy drink company requested that users use the hashtag #PilkandCookies (Pilk = Pepsi in milk). In order to encourage people to give it a try and win cash rewards, it even organised an online challenge.
Todd Kaplan, the chief marketing officer for Pepsi,
“Combining Pepsi and milk has long been a secret hack among Pepsi fans. With the rise of the ‘dirty soda’ trend on TikTok and throughout the country, we thought Pilk and Cookies would be a great way to unapologetically celebrate the holidays.”

The combo is currently being promoted by Pepsi as their take on the TikTok-popularized “dirty soda” fad. Companies like PepsiCo (PEP) use TikTok to capitalise on trends and stay relevant to their young target audiences.
Desi’s are having a good laugh at the campaign because of its uncanny similarity with our very own dood soda.

Dood sod has been our traditional drink in Punjab and we Pakistanis have surely enjoy a cold glass of dood soda in the intense summer weather. However, would you want to add pepsi to milk instead of a soda?
