The sports part of an Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) textbook for grade eight has an article about Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan.

The photograph of Babar Azam posing beside some of India’s most well-known players, such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni, is currently going viral on social media, which has cricket fans in Pakistan delighted.

The answer to the question in the book that is based on cricketers’ nick names goes as follows: “Cricket is the most popular sport in India, and its players are considered celebrities.” Do you know the nicknames of the cricket players that you like the most?
The pupils were given the cricketers and instructed to match them with their respective nicknames in the question.
The answer also includes the alias “Bobby,” which is commonly used to refer to Babar.

In addition to Babar, the following names were brought up in the same question: AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle, both of whom are prominent figures in international cricket.

By including Babar in the team, we are only drawing attention to the fact that he is rapidly becoming one of the most popular cricketers.

The Pakistan skipper was recognised as the ICC’s best male cricketer in all three forms by awarding him the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for 2022.

Pakistan’s ninth grade physics textbook included a question regarding Babar’s famous cover drive last year. This achievement where Babar Azam gets featured in Indian textbook is yet another big achievement after having Sitar-e-Imtiaz.
