Asim Azhar to hit small screen with Ramazan series

The family-friendly series’ brief teaser features moments of humour and close-knit ties between family members as they navigate a new business endeavour that would give financial security.

Asim Azhar, a singer-turned-actor whose voice has enchanted millions, is gearing up to show off his acting skills once more with a Ramadan series starring an ensemble cast. While there are plenty of rom-com serials available for Pakistani audiences to enjoy throughout the holy month, the Tum Tum singer’s work will undoubtedly boost his already brilliant career.

Saife Hasan and Salma Hasan also appear in the Family Bizniss series. Fahad Mustafa, who also serves as one of the show’s producers, took to Instagram to present a two-minute promo.

“Get ready because what you were waiting for is finally here. Watch the trailer for Family Bizniss and be ready for the tamasha [spectacle],” the Jeeto Pakistan host wrote with a pun as the drama will be released on the Tamasha Digital platform.

The family-friendly series’ brief teaser features moments of humour and close-knit ties between family members as they navigate a new business endeavour that would give financial security. The father, played by Saife Hasan, appears to be retiring and is concerned about meeting the family’s bills without causing instability.

The scene turns to one of Hasan’s kids, the Jo Tu Na Mila singer, who gets a lightbulb moment and decides to start a vegetable delivery app. The amusing parts occur when Hasan asks Azhar to distinguish between “dhaniya [coriander leaves] and podina [mint leaves]”.

Family Bizniss, directed by Bilal Altaf Khan, and stars Mah E Nur Haider, Busha Habib, and Hussain Mohsin. Ali and Basit wrote the family play, which Mustafa and Dr. Ali Kazmi produced.

On the work front, the 29-year-old singer’s most recent small-screen appearance was in Sinf-e-Aahan as Sajal Aly’s love interest.
