Technology is advancing at a fast pace. Taking into account some of the inventions that tech giants like Apple are dishing out into the market, the future holds a progressive image. Some of these inventions are revolutionary and literally life-saving. One such invention is the Apple watch. It is one of the most popular watches in the world, and after this article, you will want to buy it too. It is literally like a mini-computer that is attached to your wrist and can provide helpful insights regarding your health. Owning an Apple watch can have a positive influence on one’s health as the device provides you accurate health calculations as well as provides helpful notifications for your health and fitness.
However, that is not the only utility of this great invention. An Australian nursing student has made a claim that will further increase the popularity of the Apple watch. She created a Tik-Tok video in which she claimed that her Apple Watch had detected her thyroid condition months before she was officially diagnosed with it. The student’s name is Lauren Rebecca and she explained that back in October 2021, she experienced symptoms of fatigue, nausea, weight gain, and dry skin. Later in December of the same year, she was diagnosed with thyroid hemiagenesis.
However, her Apple watch was way before time. The device had already monitored her heart rate and gave a very accurate guess about her thyroid condition months before her diagnosis. Lauren got to know about this wonderful functionality of her device when she was checking the Apple watch’s history.
Telling about this incredible feat of her watch, she explained in her Tik-Tok video that the users of Apple watch should turn on the notifications so that the users of this device can get accurate analysis of their health condition. In her short video, Lauren said that she would have done something to curb her symptoms and possibly stop the possible advances of her thyroid disease had she checked her device before.
Lauren has also explained that although the Apple watch cannot be a substitute for a proper medical device, it can certainly prove to be a valuable asset for improving your health and performing timely checkups.
