After multiple delays following the Coronavirus pandemic, Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick takes the opening day by storm. The film earned a whopping $150 million over the weekend, becoming the biggest launch of Cruise’s career.
Although Top Gun received years of setbacks, all due to the Covid-19 pandemic that affected human lives throughout the globe, even the star would have to contact his fellow crew members and celebrities to assure them every time whenever the release date was pushed back. The film dominated all the cinema halls with sold out tickets.
Tom Cruise was joined by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for the new film’s UK premiere recently. The original movie flew high above the competition, topping last Wednesday’s weekly UK film chart, as fans – young and old – prepared for the official release of the sequel.
The sequel of the much anticipated film impressed the audience and the critics too. Tom Cruise has made the film of his career at the age of 59, leaving everyone impressed.
