Shahid Afridi revealed the couple’s engagement last year. The well-known athlete responded to the persistent rumours on Twitter. “My family was contacted by Shaheen’s family on behalf of my daughter.”
The core of Pakistan’s bowling attack is Shaheen Afridi. In the 50 over format, he made his international debut for the Pakistani national team in April 2018. In December of the same year, he began his Test career.
When the world witnessed Shaheen Afridi, a 17-year-old fast bowler, hurl the ball at 90 mph in 2017, she shot to fame. He strives for excellence in bowling, batting, and fielding, making him an all-rounder.
Shaheen Afridi will be the son-inlaw of the former Pakistani all rounder Shahid Afridi. He began his cricket journey in 1996 and called quits in 2017. He led the Pakistan team in the 2011 Cricket World Cup where they reached the semi-finals before losing to rival India. Shahid Afridi is known for his aggressive sixes and a high strike rate of 86.97. Undoubtedly, the leg-spinning all rounder was a prized asset to Pakistani cricket and has given his fair share of winning streaks.
