Even though Shahid Afridi was a tough cricket player, he has a soft side, especially when it comes to his children. Now that his oldest daughter is getting married, the great batsman shared pictures from the events and wrote a touching note for her as she starts a new journey.
Shahid posted a series of pictures of himself hugging his oldest daughter Aqsa Afridi on her wedding day on Instagram on Saturday. “Meri pyari beti, it seems like just yesterday that I was holding you in my arms. On that day, I swore I would never leave your side. Even though you’re about to start a new part of your life, I’ll always love you because I was the first person to love you,” he wrote.

Shahid Afridi kept praying for her daughter and son-in-law to get married. “May Allah watch over you both and give you the chance to build a beautiful life together,” he said as he left.
In the pictures, Shahid was wearing a black Shalwar kurta with a black vest. He looked very nice. Aqsa’s face was hidden in every shot, but she wore a beautiful red and gold dress with a lot of embroidery and a lot of jewelry.
At the event were also the captain, Babar Azam, the wicketkeeper, Rizwan, the past captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Imam ul Haq, Shan Masood, Hassan Ali, Aamir Jamal, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
