Urwa Hocane is back to screen after a break. She is starring in a new drama, ‘Meri Shehzadi’ written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah. The other cast stars Ali Rehman Khan, Najiba Faiz, veteran actors Muhammad Qavi Khan, Shamim Hilaly, Atiqa Odho, Shabbir Jan, and Nauman Masood. The drama shows Urwa Hocane as a strong female lead.
Zanjabeel Asim Shah has also written Pyaar Ke Sadqay, Bashar Momin, and Cheekh. This is a Momina Duraid’s Production (HUM TV), directed by Qasim Ali Mureed (Mere Humsafar). Urwa has done Neeli Zinda Hai, Amanat (Imran Abbas and Saboor Aly), and most recently Badzaat (Ashraf) in recent times.
The drama encapsulates the character of Lady Diana. Urwa Hocane is raised by a grandfather who treats her like a princess. She is a politician and a philanthropist. In her Instagram, she said, “It’s about time that we need to portray strong female figures and Meri Shehzadi is filled with these messages, where the viewers will learn along the way.”
