In a new teaser for “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” Paramount Pictures previews Tom Cruise’s seventh and maybe last mission as IMF agent Ethan Hunt. The first episode of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” is set to hit theatres on July 12, 2023.
Along with Cruise, former “Mission: Impossible” actors Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Czerny, Vanessa Kirby, and Frederick Schmidt return. Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Cary Elwes, Rob Delaney, Indira Varma, Shea Whigham, Mark Gatiss, Esai Morales, and Charles Parnell are all featured in “Part One” as series newbies.
In the first “Dead Reckoning” trailer, Cruise is shown riding a motorbike down a cliff. With the publication of a behind-the-scenes documentary in December, Paramount Pictures gave viewers a closer look at the remarkable stunt.
The “Mission: Impossible” films, one of Paramount Pictures’ crown jewels, have amassed nearly $3.5 billion in global box office receipts since their debut in 1996. After “Mission: Impossible III,” released in 2006, reached a low point with just $398 million in global box office receipts, Cruise was able to effectively revive the series and raise its popularity to become one of the most dependable brands in blockbuster entertainment.
Christopher McQuarrie, who also wrote and directed “Rogue Nation” and “Fallout,” is returning with “Dead Reckoning Part One.” Cruise, McQuarrie, J.J. Abrams, David Ellison, and Jake Meyers are responsible for producing the movie. It is anticipated that Cruise will make his last appearance as Ethan Hunt in “Dead Reckoning Part Two,” which will be released on June 28, 2024.
