Sanak is an upcoming Pakistani Physiological thriller movie that stars Shyraa Roy, Muneeb Ali, Resham, Javed Sheikh, Zubair Shariq, Marhoom, Ahmed Bilal and many more. The film is directed by Hassan Fareed and written by iconic Bollywood Director & writer Vikram Bhatt. The film is produced by Roy Motion Pictures.
Shyraa Roy, a gender dysphoric transgender, is playing the lead female role in the movie. This is the first time a Transgender female will be seen as the protagonist. This special aspect of the film gives it a new twist and will compel people to watch it. Born in Sialkot, Shyraa Roy has been crowned Miss Trans Pakistan in Lahore, last year. She made history by being the first Trans woman to be crowned as Miss Trans Pakistan. She was the first Pakistani woman chosen to represent the country in the world’s biggest beauty pageant for transgender women, Miss International Queen, hosted in Thailand which she didn’t attend due to financial constraints. Shyraa is an aspiring singer and actress and has come in various different roles in movies like Aks, Mohini in Mohenjodaro and Natasha in Saaho.
The film talks about a famous actress and her psychological issue which are attached to her sudden stardom. The story gets more thrilling when a psycho fan murders her family in order to get her. What happens to her is a dilemma in which we have to wait till the movie releases.
We are quite excited to see this film, which has a lot of twists and turns in terms of casting. We can’t wait to see how well a Trans person can play a female lead role and strongly hope Shyraa Roy will not disappoint us with her acting skills.
The film is slated to release in mid-2023 but till then we will have to wait.
