As we waltz into the year 2022, we thought it would be wise to see who grew their net worth the most. While we already have some of these names, it is interesting to see some new faces. We, the mundane human beings’ race about things like who will get to the office on time, and then there are billionaires. They race about in billions; yes, they make a pathway of their dollars on the side of the road and see whose had the most significant highway of the dollar. Because in the gist of it all, this year, $402 billion were added to the index of the top wealthiest people on Earth. Here is a list of them:

Elon Musk

We think it’s pretty obvious now that most of the lists regarding the technological world will be incomplete without Elon Musk in it. This guy has had an exciting year and has enjoyed a lot of money. The Tesla shares are up by 60%, and the company has hit a trillion-market cap. He has added $121 billion to his bank account this year.

Jeff Bezos

The former richest man of Earth was not as successful as Elon Musk, but he is still going into the new year with $5 billion more. This year, he stepped down as the CEO of Amazon because he wanted to spend his time to better the environment.

Bill Gates

Known to the world as the foremost philanthropist. Regardless of the millions of dollars, he has given away in the last few years, he is still going into the New Year with $7 billion more. This year, he also got divorced after 25 years of marriage.

Larry Page

Thanks to his franchise, Alphabet, the Google co-founder, who did great this year, added $47 billion to his net worth. Not to mention that they have also crossed the 2 trillion market cap this year.

Sergey Brin

For the first time, Sergey Brin has made it to the top ten richest men. The other co-founder of Google added $45 billion to his cap this year, bringing it above $100 billion for the first time. Congrats Sergey!

Mark Zuckerberg

The only billionaire under 40 years has grown 20% more this year. The 13% shareholder of meta – the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp – added another $24 billion to his wallet.

Bernard Arnault

The owner of brands like Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Givenchy added another $61 billion to his worth. But this is not all, this 72-year old man holds the title of being the richest man in Europe.

Warren Buffet

Warren, earlier this year, announced that he was very close to his lifelong goal of giving away half of his fortune. However, it seems that he may have to try harder next year because his company added another $21 billion.

Steve Ballmer

Steve is the former CEO of Microsoft and owns NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers. His value grew at around 50% this year, thanks to tech shares like Microsoft. He added a fortune of $41 billion to his bank accounts and ended the year way richer than he started it.

Larry Ellison

The owner of Oracle has made it to the list of the top ten rich men this year, thanks to the significant earnings of Oracle. Larry, the 72-year old billionaire, has added $29 billion to his account.

And that concludes the richest billionaires list for the year 2021. In an honorable mention, we would like to mention all our Neemos, with one or two exceptions, who are going into the new year just as broke as ever. Keep trying guys, ho sakta hai agla saal humara hou!
