Pakistani women have been doing wonders in sports. They have made their mark internationally with heads high and defying all odds. It is a proud moment that for the first time Pakistani women will participate in the International Tent Pegging Championship.
The team consists of three members. It will be held in Petra, a historic city in Jordan from 22nd to 24th September. This is the first time Pakistan will be participating in such a grand women’s tent pegging event. Open trials were held by the Equestrian Federation of Pakistan to select the team for the international event.
Sahibzada Sultan, President Equestrian Federation of Pakistan (EFP) shared his views, “Pakistan Women’s team is participating in a major international event for the first time. The preparation of the team is good and hopefully, we will perform well.”

Haroon Bandial, the team coach is very optimistic and has high expectations from the team. “For the first time in the history of Pakistan, the women’s national team was selected through an open trial.”
