Pakistan will play 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Cambodia on October 17th in Jinnah stadium Islamabad. This is a very important leg for Pakistan. 48 teams will play in 2026 World Cup which is going to be held in USA, Mexico and Canada. Traditionally 32 countries represented finals of FIFA World Cup.
Because of 48 teams in FIFA World Cup, continent of Asia will be represented by at least 9 countries in the World Cup.
The match on 17th against Cambodia has a great significance. This will be the first international match in Pakistan after 12 years. In last decade Pakistan was banned as a FIFA member twice. This match is a great opportunity for Pakistan Football to gain Football World attention.
For the important match Jinnah stadium renovation work is going at full pace. Dressing rooms for players and staff. New grass is installed and stands are been fixed in the stadium.
