Now You Will Be Able To Hide Your ‘Last Seen’ On Whatsapp

We all have one nasty person on our contacts list on Whatsapp whose messages we don’t want to reply to. It might be a reply from our ex, or perhaps it might be that nagging relative. Or sometimes, our fuses are just short and we want to act like we haven’t seen a message. Then boom, you suddenly opened the chatbox and now you must reply to that peculiar message just to avoid being rude.

If you deeply relate to all of the abovementioned scenarios, congrats, you are the next-level introvert. There is also good news for you from the developers of Whatsapp. Now, you will no longer have to act like you didn’t read that convo or you were away from your phone. Whatsapp will now allow you to hide your ‘last seen’ status from a particular person of your choosing. It can be that annoying aunt or the ex who keeps replying back.

Are you a night owl or an early bird?

It goes two-way. You cannot see the last seen status of the other person either. Of course, considering you didn’t want to see their texts, you could care less about seeing them reading your convos. Unless of course, you want money from them and suddenly the least interacted person becomes your new favorite.

This feature of Whatsapp is currently in the beta-testing phase. We are waiting for the feature to be released as soon as possible, considering there are so many on our list that we want to ghost while reading their messages.

Of course, based on who you are trying to fool, this feature may or may not work. For example, suppose you got a stalker after you. They will definitely see you on the other online platforms where you keep sharing memes. The situation can become even worse in the case of people to whom you owe money.
