Coronavirus not only introduced us to life in a pandemic but also what it feels like to work from home. Those who were already working as a freelancer knew what it was like but then again, it isn’t the same as it is when your office tells you to go home and work from there. These last two years, almost all of us have worked from home, and we fell in love with it. Some might even say that it has boosted our creativity but it seems that corporate firms do not really like this and are not calling for a ban on remote working.
Big Fish companies like Paypal, Amazon, Intel and others have announced that they will not allow their employees to work from home. Interestingly, the same employees have also called in a strike, and now are quitting. In the end, is mein nuqsaan kis ka hua? Corporate companies’ ka kyun keh they are losing talent. Bus we hope humaray ander bhi itni himmat ajaye aur hum bhi work from home mang lein apni company sei.
Paypal in an interview said, ‘“The loss of the services of any of our key personnel, or our inability to attract, hire, develop, motivate and retain key and other highly qualified and diverse talent, whether in a remote or in-office environment, or address the safety, health and productivity of our workforce could harm our overall business and results of operations.”
However, on the other hand companies like Twitter, Facebook, and Shopify are allowing their employees to choose if they want to work from the office or work from the comfort of their homes. The latter is only acceptable if the work integrity is maintained, and deadlines are met. Kyun kay sab companies ko ata hi aik word hai and woh hai ‘Deadlines.’

But coming back to the remote work debate. There are both pros and cons from working from home, and working from an office. It depends on the individual and the environment in which they believe they are more effective. For example, we know we are more effective in working from home but our bosses won’t let us do it.
