Imran khan has said that the government is taking steps to provide conducive environment to boost investment and expand business in Gujranwala. He was Chairing a meeting regarding regional economic growth strategy for the Gujranwala division.

This city has been in news for its “Made in Gujranwala” Expos for the last few years. Gujranwala Expo for this year has been held from 15th-25th Dec, 2021. Recently in November 2021, Cuban delegate met with the executives of the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They identified areas of common interest and exchanged invitations for the Made in Gujranwala Expo and the Cuba 2021.

If the strategy implemented in Gujranwala is successful, other industrial cities would also be benefitted.

The federal and provincial institutions are working for industrial progress in the country. Under the plan, it would be monitored regularly that the projects must be completed in time to make  an international production hub. If the strategy implemented in Gujranwala is successful, other industrial cities would also be benefitted.

The main focus would be on agriculture, industry, and services sectors. Farmers would be given access to the markets, forests and fish farming. The infrastructure would be improved so that local industries can benefit from it as well. The dying tannery industry would be revived so that the leather industry can restart its production that it once was known for. There would be opportunities for small scale industries.

The city is known as “City of Wrestlers’. It is also famous for its food. As the 5th most populated city in Punjab, it is the 3rd largest industrial city after Karachi and Faisalabad. It is also part of the ‘Golden Triangle’ along with Sialkot and Gujrat, with export-oriented economies. We are very excited to see Gujranwala attracting more foreign investment and expanding its business beyond the borders.
