The holy month of Ramadan is ending and we are nearing the closing of the final ashra. Anticipations are high since our previous two Eids had been stricken with pandemic. We will be having our first pandemic-free Eid after quite a while. Most of us have missed the festivities that this occasion brings. Considering how chaotic the situation has been for Pakistan this month, we have all been looking forward to celebrating Eid with zeal and zest.
If you have been wondering how many off days you are going to get regarding the days of celebration, you will be delighted to know that the government has announced four days of Eid, starting from 2nd May to 5th May. The original notice was given for a three-day holiday. However, PM Shahbaz Sharif announced a four-day holiday which comes as a breath of fresh air for many.

The month of Ramadan started on 3rd April 2022. Due to the trend of Islamic months, it is expected that Ramadan will be of 30 days overall. The Shawwal moon is expected to be sighted on the 2nd of May, making it the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Some people have pointed out that there are a total of five holidays for the people, including the official off day of Sunday. Some have already begun snagging at least a total of eight days out of this occasion. The employees will be able to take two days off especially on Saturday and Friday. For those who already had their Saturdays off, it presents as a golden opportunity.
In the spirit of Eid, the government of Pakistan has taken another special step. Now all the pensions and salaries of government employees will be given in advance so that they can enjoy Eid properly. It is worthy of mention that in other countries like Dubai and Saudi Arabia, a similar number of holidays will be given to the employees.
