Information Technology Is a field that is taking the world by storm. Every country is excelling in the field by producing jaw-dropping innovations for the world to benefit from. Although, Pakistan’s contribution to I.T. has been very less. One of the reasons for this is that we realized the need and importance of I.T. at a relatively later age. But not anymore, Pakistan is doing everything that is required to turn Pakistan into an I.T. hub. Not only the government the universities are equally playing their role in furthering innovation in Pakistan. One such example of this is the FAST NUCES annual event SOFTEC which is a highly anticipated I.T. event of Pakistan.
What is SOFTEC?
In 1995, a group of students from FAST-NU came together and organized one of the largest I.T. events of Pakistan that came to be known as SOFTEC. This event is held every year at the FAST-NU Lahore campus. Since 1995, SOFTEC has become one of the largest and highly anticipated events of Pakistan. It gives students from all over the country to come forward and showcase their skills and exchange ideas.
SOFTEC over the tenure of 24 years, has not only kept the platform open for Pakistani students and professionals but also for the students of the region. Yes, it has extended its network in the region too. Students from countries like Iran, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, India, China, the UK, Australia, the USA, Bangladesh, and Malaysia participate in the event. This initiative is leaving a strong footprint of Pakistan in the area of information technology.

This time around too, FAST- NUCES (the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences) students society is all set to hold the I.T. event of the year I.e., SOFTEC’2022. This will be a 2-day event that will be open to all. Moreover, the event will be giving prizes worth 1 million to the winners. You definitely don’t want to miss this amazing opportunity that will surely open gates of success for you in the future to come. The event is to be held at the FAST-NU Lahore campus on March 26th and 27th, 2022.
