‘Drunk passenger’ made Thailand-bound airline to land at Karachi Airport

According to Express News, a Turkish Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Karachi airport after an inebriated passenger caused a commotion on board.

The belligerent guy boarded the Thailand-bound aircraft TK-172 from Istanbul and began misbehaving with the cabin staff and passengers, prompting the flight captain to request permission from Karachi Airport’s control tower to land at Jinnah International Airport.

Following that, the alcoholic passenger was discharged at Karachi International Airport, where he was turned over to the Airport Security Force (ASF) and moved to the transit area.

The airport authorities said it was not an emergency landing and the passenger will be deported back to Türkiye on the next flight.

In a similar incident earlier this month, a passenger on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight 283 made a commotion by attempting to kick one of the plane’s windows as it flew from Peshawar to Dubai.

The airline crew did everything they could to keep the manic episode at bay. After takeoff, the rowdy passenger called Osama Abdullah began acting suspiciously. An aviation crew member can be seen in videos published online assisting Osama up as he laid on his stomach in the plane’s aisle.

After successfully coaxing the passenger back to his seat, the staff member turned the camera to face the troubled passenger. “He was fine before take-off, but after take-off, he started acting strangely. He has been disturbing other passengers; sometimes he calls out the Azaan (call to prayer), sometimes he lies down on the aisle and he has taken out all of his possessions,” said one of the flight crew.
