A currently ongoing drama serial on Hum Tv is gaining all the hype and for the right reasons. The drama is depicting the hardships of lower middle class women who earn for their living in this male dominated society. The multi-talented actress Yumna Zaidi is seen portraying different personalities and doing so with such talent that the audience cannot help but admire her. But what most people did not know is that her character is inspired by a true story.
The drama serial is based on the real story of a strong lady Fareen Ishtiaq who, unfortunately, has never seen ease in her life. In the drama Bakhtawar, the main lead ‘Bakhtawar’, played by Yumna Zaidi, Is shown to have left home in order to earn bread money. She moved out from her native village with her mother and then started living life as a boy.
Farheen Ishtiaq Naqvi, who lives in Lahore, pretended to be a man since last many years to feed her only daughter and to protect her from the evil eyes of the society. She earned through a small job and after collecting money she started her own business in Anarkali bazaar Lahore. When living situation improved for Farheen, she decided to tell her story to the world.
Farheen has also worked as a cashier in Domino’s Pizza, worked as an Uber driver and has been living a very struggling life with her daughter for the past 8 years in Lahore. Farheen is still under difficult circumstances and we truly hope that she gets to live better days soon.
