Given how extensively the world has become its real-life season of Black Mirror, it hadn’t gone unnoticed that the hit Netflix series didn’t release any new material since June 2019. However, fans can get all hyped up again because Black Mirror season 6 is reportedly in the making.
The new season is still in its early development days as casting begins for the new season that is said to be lengthier than its predecessor. Reviews for the fifth season did falter, probably because of the fewer episodes. The third episode, which sees Miley Cyrus play a pop star, currently has the lowest rating of the previous Black Mirror episodes.
Creator Charlie Brooker and creative partner Annabel Jones have also been expanding Black Mirror from season to season, introducing interim specials and films like the 2018 interactive film Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.
There has been little information regarding the cast and episodes. All we know for now is that the hit series Black Mirror will get a season 6 which will air on Netflix soon. People from around the world are expecting more information as hopes are very high this time.
The hit anthology series gained a lot of attention for its close-to-reality/ parallel-universe type episodes. Let’s see what the writers and producers have in the bag for season 6. Will Season 6 of Black Mirror do better than season 5 or has it completely lost its charm? We’ll only have to wait and watch.
