Ahad Raza Mir Announces Semi-Retirement: Taking 2027 Off From Showbiz

Ahad Raza Mir has announced a semi-retirement from showbiz. The Yaqeen Ka Safar star says he is taking all of 2027 off to spend time with his family, and he will go offline completely. He made the announcement in an Instagram live on 30 September 2026, a day after his 33rd birthday, and the clip spread across social media within hours.

The break is not a goodbye. Ahad called it “sort of a semi-retirement”, and he still has projects lined up before it starts. Here is what he said, what is still coming from him, and when fans can expect him back.

Ahad Raza Mir Semi-Retirement: What He Said

Speaking to fans during the live session, Ahad said he is taking next year off, will “disappear completely”, will spend the time with his family, and will keep his Instagram switched off. He described the plan as a semi-retirement rather than a permanent exit from acting, according to Samaa and Reviewit.pk.

Quick Facts

Why Ahad Raza Mir Is Taking a Break

The only reason Ahad gave himself is family time. He did not hint at health issues, a controversy or a falling-out with the industry. He simply told fans early so his disappearance next year would not come as a shock.

Fans have filled in the gaps with their own theories. Some think wedding plans could be behind it, while others point out that he has been working almost non-stop for the last two years and has earned a rest. Neither theory has been confirmed by Ahad.

Ahad Raza Mir’s Upcoming Projects Before the Break

The good news for fans is that 2026 still has more Ahad on screen:

• Cafe Firaaq – a drama he is currently shooting opposite Yumna Zaidi.
• Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo – Netflix’s first-ever Pakistani original series, expected later this year.
• Aik Mohabbat Aur – his 2026 television drama.

Internationally, he has also appeared in BBC One’s World on Fire and Netflix’s Resident Evil, so his work will keep streaming even while he is offline.
