There is a thing about Karachi, it never rains. The world either has no man land or no rain land and Karachi falls in the second category. When someone asks the people of Karachi how you feel when it rains after a lifetime, they just answer bohat maza aria hai, dil garden garden ho ree a hai. A rare sight that is witnessed after an eternity, the rain downpour on the city. It appears like Karachi is receiving its due share of rain. The roads are flooded with the rain water, people are literally swimming their way through. This motivated the bikers to take to the streets and protest against the water leakage from the clouds.

Monsoon rains are one of the highly anticipated ones, a two-time break we get from the sun’s scorching heat. Now imagine how would have the people of a city felt where the Sun is up even at nights, yeah the weather remains hot throughout. Monsoon rain is like a miracle for them.

Seems like the whole population of the city prayed for the rain altogether. The city is nearly drowned in the rain water.

According to the Meteorological Department of Pakistan, Nazimabad is reported to have received the highest rainfall at 38mm. The whole titanic would have drawn in the rain.
Not only this, the drains and sewages are over-flooded with rain water. The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) has declared emergency in the city. The concerned persons are ordered to take the necessary precautions to clear the rain water from the highways and streets. The over-flooding is not the only problem here. K-electric cuts the power supply even if a drop falls from the sky. Not all drops from the sky are rain drops, the authority needs to understand that. With the monsoon rain, K-electric is also set to take the necessary measures to save the city from over flooding by cutting power supply. Very clever, if there will be no light people will not be able to see the water they are drowning in.
K-electric flood warning to Karachiites
Although, the people are happy because of the pleasant weather change but the situation in Karachi doesn’t look good. We hope they get to enjoy the rain while not drowning in the rain. Be safe people.
