The Legend of Maula Jatt by Bilal Lashari has been nominated for Best Fight. Getting the title of highest-grossing Pakistani film was already a big deal, and this mention adds to the list. The famous last fight scene between Maula and Noori, played by Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi, is what puts the movie on the list.
The local nominee is up against films like Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Grey Man. Ian Van Temperley, the action coordinator, did a great job of making sure the stunts went off without a hitch.
The Taurus World Stunt Awards are a celebration of the work of stunt artists from around the world. They are given out every year. Since the awards were first given out in 2001, it has been known that the group in charge of giving them out has the highest standards for honour.
Every year, the awards are held in Los Angeles. In the past, big Hollywood films like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Kingsman, Fast and Furious 6, Inception, and The Avengers have won the Best Fight award. This year, The Legend of Maula Jatt is competing to join this impressive list.
The praised movie, which came out in October 2022, doesn’t seem to be slowing down. In just the first few weeks after it came out, it was already getting more attention than any other locally made movie.
