Lahore Qalandars upset Peshawar Zalmi by four wickets in a nail-biting finish of 2nd PSL Eliminators to go to the Pakistan Premier League (PSL) final, where they will meet Multan Sultans for the season eight championship.

Qalandars reached the 172-run mark in 18.5 overs. and they were able to defeat Peshawar in 2nd  PSL Eliminators.

Fakhar Zaman (6) castled early to Azmatullah Omarzai.After top-edging a Wahab Riaz ball, first-time PSL player Ahsan Hafeez gave wicketkeeper Haseebullah a routine catch. Left-hander scored 15 runs in 10 balls.

Abdullah Shafique was fired after a miscommunication with Mirza Tahir Baig. 10.

As Shafique left, Sam Billings and Tahir rescued the Qalandars’ run-chase with a 50-run partnership in 28 balls.

Aamer Jamal dismissed Tahir following his first T20 fifty. Seven fours and two sixes got him 54 runs in 42 balls.

Salman Irshad’s yorker annihilated Billings. 28 crucial runs in 21 balls. Sikandar Raza hit 22 runs in 13 balls.

Shaheen Afridi hit a six and four in the 19th over to win.

Zalmi’s 20-over score was 171-5.

Zaman Khan’s off-spinner broke Saim Ayub’s (9) stumps early.

Following the early setback, Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris combined 89 runs in 60 balls for the second wicket to put Zalmi in charge.

Rashid Khan dismissed Babar (42 off 36) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (0) in the same over to help the Qalandars.

Haris played strokes effortlessly and scored 85 runs in 54 balls. He hit 11 fours and two sixes.

Shaheen allowed 41 runs in four overs but dismissed Haris on his penultimate delivery.

Zaman’s 2-20 in three overs led the Qalandars’ bowlers.
