A show business magazine in the UK has named Wahaj Ali as the biggest Pakistani star of 2023.
The popular Top 50 Asian Celebrities In The World list, made by the UK-based Eastern Eye newspaper, put him at number nine.
The hardworking actor was the only one from his country to make the top 10. For the work he did this year, he was ranked higher than celebrities from Hollywood, Bollywood, the music business, TV, books, and social media.
“Even though it’s nice to be noticed, my main goal will always be to give my fans my best,” Wahaj said. Thank you to all the wonderful people I’ve worked with, as well as to my fans and viewers, who have always been there for me and made me feel grateful. I’m excited to work even harder and try new things with my creativity.
The top 50 Asian stars who shone brightest in 2023 were chosen based on their great work, positive effect, breaking barriers, breaking glass ceilings, fan attention, and being inspiring in some way.
The public also had a lot to say; fans and people on social media sites chose their favorite.
Asjad Nazir, the entertainment editor who put together the list, told Geo News that Wahaj was the best surprise of 2023 and did great work representing his country.
“Wahaj Ali proved that he is one of the best Pakistani actors of his generation with strong performances all year, including in the record-breaking drama series Tere Bin, which delighted viewers in many countries around the world.” The biggest TV star of 2023 wowed everyone with his skills and had one of the fastest-growing fan groups this year. His work has set the stage for great things to come, said Nazir.
Shah Rukh Khan made a huge splash this year by being named one of the Top 50 Asian Celebrities in the World for 2023.
His big hits include Pathaan and Jawan, and his new movie, Red Hot, is sure to be a third hit. Dunki brought life back to the struggling Hindi film business and reclaimed his throne as the king of Bollywood.
Nazir also talked about what made the 58-year-old star so important.
“When the year 2023 is over, ‘King Khan’ will have had three huge Bollywood hits, making him the first super-star of our time to do so.”
“By bringing big audiences back to theaters with global juggernauts, the actor gave the movie business a much-needed boost and changed everything around it.” The celebrity who made history was so great that he beat out everyone else. He also showed people around the world what escape-filled Bollywood movies can be like.
Alia Bhatt came in second place for her work in Indian movies, Hollywood, business, and as a great example for moms who work.
Third-placed Priyanka Chopra-Jonas was once again the most famous Indian person in the world. She continued to break new ground abroad with projects like the big budget series Citadel, the Hollywood movie Love Again, humanitarian work, and walking the red carpet at international events.
Fourth place Diljit Dosanjh proved that he was the biggest Punjabi star in the world by doing amazing work as an actor and singer in movies, on international music collaborations, and in a groundbreaking show at Coachella.
Fifth place Charli XCX, a British singer with South Asian roots, was still the biggest singing star in the world. She did everything from huge hit singles to sold-out concerts around the world. In sixth place, Ranbir Kapoor gave the most powerful performance of the year in the hit movie Animal.
Seventh place Shreya Ghoshal won more awards this year for her amazing songs in many languages, her global stage shows, and her role as a judge on Indian Idol. Vijay, who came in eighth, had two hits that made him the biggest South Indian movie star of 2023.
The Top 50 Asian celebrities “In The World” list also has Riz Ahmed (11), Sajal Ali (17), Arooj Aftab (24), Yumna Zaidi (32), Shazad Latif (37), Hadiqa Kiani (38), Ahad Raza Mir (42), Mawaan Rizwan (45), and Bilal Abbas Khan (48). All of these people are from Pakistan.
